Armored Cars

Fast, light, and easily wasted.

Armored cars are fast, lightly protected vehicles built for scouting, skirmishing, and harassing soft targets. They are cheap relative to tanks but die quickly to real anti-tank fire.

What armored cars do

Armored cars trade armour for speed. They excel at reconnaissance, raiding logistics, harassing infantry, and reaching threatened areas fast.

Think of them as mobile light support, not as tanks.

Scouting and skirmishing

An armored car can reveal enemy positions, chase down logistics, and apply pressure where infantry alone cannot reach. Hit-and-run is its natural style.

Pair it with a radio and it becomes a powerful reconnaissance tool.

What they cannot do

Armored cars cannot trade blows with tanks or sit in front of dedicated anti-tank weapons. Their light armour means a few solid hits end the vehicle.

Using one as a frontline brawler wastes it quickly.

Crew and survival

Most armored cars work best with a small crew — a driver and gunner — and survive by movement, not by tanking damage.

Keep moving, strike soft targets, and disengage before AT can answer.

When to use one

Use armored cars for scouting, raiding, and rapid response. Do not commit them to set-piece armour battles, and do not solo one deep into AT-defended ground.

Survival and information are the point, not slugging matches.

Related systems

Armored cars support Recon and Partisans and the Map, Intel, and Radio guide, and contrast with Tanks for heavy work.

Beginner mistake

Driving an armored car into a stand-up fight with tanks or AT guns. Light armour means it dies fast — use speed instead.

Field tip

Treat armored cars as scouts and raiders. Hit soft targets, gather intel, and leave before the heavy weapons reply.
