About
What this site is and is not.
The Foxhole Field Manual is a practical guide site for new and intermediate players. It explains what to do and why it matters, rather than cataloguing every item and statistic.

What this page teaches
- The purpose of this site
- How it differs from the official wiki
- How content is kept current
Our goal
This site exists to turn an overwhelmed new player into a useful contributor as fast as possible. It is written like a field manual: opinionated, practical, and honest about etiquette and resource waste.
We do not try to replace the official wiki item by item. Where you need exact numbers, we point you to sources that track them.
How it differs from the official wiki
The official wiki is an excellent reference for stats and mechanics. It is not designed to tell a beginner what to do first.
This manual fills that gap. It focuses on decisions, roles, and common mistakes, and links the official wiki where precise data is needed.
Keeping content current
Foxhole changes between updates. We deliberately avoid printing exact figures that go stale, and we flag systems — like Airborne and Update 64 anti-air balance — that are actively shifting.
If something here contradicts current in-game behaviour, trust the game and the latest patch notes.
Assuming any guide, including this one, is perfectly up to date. Always sanity-check specifics against the current war.
Use this manual to learn how to think about the war, and the official wiki to look up exact values.
