Backline Regions
Where the war is supplied.
Backline regions are the safer areas away from the fighting where production, refining, and logistics happen. They are not where the war is fought, but they are where it is won or lost.

What backline regions are
Backline regions sit behind the front, away from direct combat. They host salvage fields, refineries, factories, facilities, and the rail and road networks that feed the war.
They are the industrial heart of a faction.
Why they are vital
Every shirt, shell, and vehicle at the front came from the backline. A faction with a productive, well-run backline can sustain heavy fighting; one with a neglected backline cannot.
The backline is quiet, but it is decisive.
Good backline jobs
- Gathering scrap and resources at salvage fields
- Running refineries and factories
- Contributing to facilities
- Loading and running trains and bulk shipments
Backlines can still be threatened
A backline is safer, not invulnerable. Partisans, raids, naval landings, and aircraft can all reach behind the lines. A backline that assumes it is safe can be disrupted badly.
Even backline regions need some awareness and defence.
When to play the backline
Play the backline when production or logistics is short, when you want lower-pressure but high-impact work, or when you are learning systems before facing the front.
It is a perfect place for new and solo players to be genuinely useful.

If the front feels overwhelming, spend time in the backline. Production and logistics work there is high-impact and lower-pressure.
