What this page teaches

  • The most common building errors
  • Why placement mistakes are permanent
  • How overbuilding backfires
  • How to build responsibly

Why building mistakes are costly

Structures are persistent and slow to remove. A bad build is not a quick mistake — it sits on the map affecting players for the rest of the war.

That is why builders should plan before they place.

Bad placement

The most common error is placement: trenches dug forward that the enemy captures, structures blocking friendly movement, bases with no cover or supply route.

Placement mistakes cannot usually be undone, so they must be avoided up front.

Ignoring maintenance

New builders build and then walk away. Without maintenance, the structure decays and is lost, and the materials spent on it are wasted.

Never build something you have not planned to maintain.

Overbuilding and clutter

  • Sprawling defences nobody can garrison or supply
  • Redundant structures that just consume materials and maintenance
  • Construction that blocks roads, movement, or counterattacks
  • Vanity builds that serve no defensive purpose

How to build responsibly

Plan the position, check supply and maintenance, coordinate with the players who will use it, and build only what is needed. When unsure, ask an experienced builder before placing anything.

Good building is mostly restraint and planning.

Beginner mistake

Building enthusiastically without a plan. Enthusiasm plus no plan produces clutter the whole faction has to work around.

Field tip

When unsure, do not place the structure. Ask a veteran builder first — an unbuilt mistake costs nothing to avoid.
